Every Breath U Take 2nd Week Gross: P42.83 Million!

Every Breath U Take starring Angelica Panganiban and Piolo Pascual grossed P42.83 million after 2 weeks of showing according to Box Office Mojo (BOM). Every Breath You Take is still the no. 1 Philippine movie for the period of May 23-27.

Debuting film MIB 3 topped the local box office for the said period, raking P71.22 million for its first 5 days. Another Pinoy movie, The Mommy Returns grossed P30.6 million.

Every Breath U Take Grosses P25.5 Million on its First Week

Star Cinema's comedy romance, Every Breath You Take starring Angelica Panganiban and Piolo Pascual had grossed P25.5 million on its first weekend (5 days of showing) according to third party tabulator Box Office Mojo (BOM) for the period of May 16-20. 

Every Breath U Take was the number 1 movie for the said period, ending the 3-week reign of The Avengers, which is deemed as the all-time highest grossing movie in the country. The Piolo-Angelica starrer was also the top debuting movie of the period, beating hollywood films such as Safe and What To Expect When You're Expecting.

Meanwhile, another Pinoy movie, Pokwang's The Mommy Returns had already grossed P27.8 million after 2 weeks of showing.

Pokwang Topbills 'The Mommy Returns'

Regal Entertainment releases the poster and trailer for their upcoming Mothers' Day movie offering, The Mommy Returns. The said movie will star Pokwang, Gabby Concepcion, Ruffa Guttierez, John 'Sweet' Lapus Jillian Ward, Kiray Celis and Gerald Pesigan.

The Mommy Returns is a family comedy-horror movie about a mother, Ruby (Pokawang) who dies right on the day of her 25th wedding anniversary with gorgeous husband, William (Gabby Concepcion). With her untimely death, she is temporarily trapped in PURGA (short for Purgatory) with its guardian, Dyoga (John Lapus, ang diyosa ng purga) and the pesky Manny, the chicken pet of San Pedro.

Enter Catherine (Ruffa Guttierez) - a younger, fresher, and much, much prettier woman who comes into the life of William. When she threatens to take Ruby's place as mother to her three beloved children (Kiray Celis, Gerald Pesigan and Jillian Ward), hell (er, purgatory) breaks loose as Ruby escapes back to earth as a ghost to scare and drive Catherine out of the family she left behind!

What follows is a riot of scary antics and tactics that will prove that "hell hath no fury like a dead woman," especially if she is a mother who can't leave her children behind!

Directed by Joel Lamangan and from a screenplay by Senedy Que, The Mommy Returns will open in theaters this May 9.
